Style Shoot | Hunger Games

A couple years back—when they left us high and dry anticipating what will happen to Katniss after the second Hunger Games movie—Sage Designs and Annemarie Grudën conjured up this happily ever after (of sorts) Style Shoot. What if Katniss and Peeta were to actually get married? In the Capitol, with the blessing of President Snow? Well, it may look a little something like this…

Subtle details were what made me so giddy to work with this theme! The invitation itself was a scroll that was delivered by AirMail (see what I did there?) from a white parachute tied with a gold braided ribbon.

Although President Snow would likely have no reference at all to the Mockingjay, we pulled it in through subtle hints of feathers, pins and arrows. The place cards were custom arrow fletchings that speared through the berry bowl.

The menu sat within the glass chargers and rhymed off a classic District 12 feast. Complete with roasted small game and foraged berries and herbs. Our Katniss bride OWNED her role and through multiple dress changes and changing backgrounds, she encompassed what we pictured Katniss would look like on her wedding day.
